JB to give Tk 100m to BIRDEM to set up nursing college

Janata Bank (JB) will donate Tk 100 million to BIRDEM (Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders) for setting up a nursing college. Janata Bank signed an agreement with Diabetic Association of Bangladesh at a ceremony in Dhaka on Monday. Speaking at the ceremony, chairman of the board of directors of Janata Bank Prof Dr Abul Barakat said the bank will give BIRDEM TK 100 million as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, according to a news agency.
