JBC net premium rises 17 pc

The net premium of Jiban Bima Corporation (JBC) rose by 17.28 per cent in 2008.
It may be maintained that at the end of 2008, the total premium earning of the state-owned company stood at Tk 3.43 billion, net life fund Tk 9.88 billion and net assets Tk 11.84 billion.
The JBC has decided to give one and half month's incentive bonus for its officers and employees to celebrate the good earnings, said a press release.
