JBPPL to begin commercial operation by month-end

Japan Bangladesh Printing & Papers Limited (JBPPL), country's lone private security printing company will begin commercial operation by the end of this month aiming to launch the latest global standard printing technology in the country.

The company's products include security printing, offset printing, design and layout, publication printing, commercial printing, digital printing, pre-press and post-press services.

"We have already started trial operation and the commercial operation will be started by the end of this month," Salim Prodhan, chairman and chief executive officer of Japan-Bangladesh Group told the FE in an interview.

He said the joint venture company has already invested Tk 1.30 billion and the total investment will stand at Tk 7.80 billion.

The company's factory is located at Rupgonj of Narayangonj.

"Our company has a substantial production capacity and definitely we will offer the ever best printing services to our clients," Mr Salim, who gained a lot of industrial knowledge from Japan, said.

Japan-based PCK High-Speed Printing Company Ltd and Naigai Ink Chugoku Hanbai Company Ltd has extended complete cooperation to launch the new company in Bangladesh.

"We have a highly skilled and dedicated team of printing professionals to ensure quality services throughout the process and we guarantee efficient, high-volume, high-tech and cost-effective services," Mr Salim added.

He said as a joint venture entity with Japanese entrepreneurs, his company will never compromise on quality.

"Being one of the largest economies, Japanese entrepreneurs never compromise on quality and similarly I can guarantee you as far as our company products are concerned," Mr Salim added.

He said the company will also provide post-press services which include binding, packing and delivery of the printed materials through mail, courier or shipping as choiced by the customers.

Born in 1973, Salim was educated in Osaka College of Japan and obtained his MBA degree from USA.

He has businesses both in Japan and USA which include chain restaurant, departmental store, steel trading, vehicles and machinery import, IT sector, telecommunications and investment company.
