JCD DU unit pays tribute to Shaheed Asad

Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Dhaka University (DU) unit paid tribute to Shaheed Asad, who was martyred during the anti-Ayub movement of 1969, marking his 57th martyrdom anniversary.
They offered the tribute at the Shaheed Asad Memorial, located beside the Emergency Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, at around 9:00 am on Tuesday (Jan 20).
Speaking on the occasion, JCD DU unit President Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahos said Shaheed Asad set an inspiring example by sacrificing his life for establishing the democratic rights of the people.
Drawing inspiration from Shaheed Asad's sacrifice, JCD would continue to work to move Bangladesh forward on a democratic path and build a prosperous state, he added.
Among others, JCD DU General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon, Senior Joint General Secretary Md. Nasir Uddin Shawon and Office Secretary Mallik Wasi Uddin Tami, and leaders and activists from various university and hall committees were present.
