JCD leader hacked dead in Bhola

BHOLA, Sept 26: A local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was chopped to death by miscreants at Chairman Bazar in Char Fasson upazila early Saturday.
The victim was identified as Abdur Razzak, president of Char Fasson upazila unit of JCD and son of M Hossain of Jinnagar village in the upazila.
Locals said a group of miscreants beat Razzak with sticks and chopped him with sharp weapons indiscriminately while he along with some friends was chatting on a dam in the area around 12:30am, leaving him injured critically.
Razzak was first taken to Char Fasson Health Complex and then shifted to Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 5:00 am.
When contacted, sub-inspector of Char Fasson Police Station M Safique said they learnt that a young man was beaten to death by a mob while he along with others was trying to commit robbery in Chairman Bazar area on Friday midnight.—UNB
