JCD leader killed in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, May 18 (UNB): A Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD)
leader was killed by some miscreants at Koladi Professor Para in Matlab South Upazila headquarters early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Golam Mowla Bipul
(30), a leader of JCD Upazila unit and also a trader.
Police quoting local sources said Bipul was alone in his residence at night as his wife was at work in a clinic in Faridganj Upazila.
In the morning a staff of Bipul's shop found Bipul's house locked from outside. Suspecting something wrong he shouted and entered the house with the help of neighbours and found the body of Bipul lying in a pool of blood.
On information police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The body was sent to hospital for autopsy in the afternoon.
Police said miscreants might have killed him at late night. A case was filed in this connection.
