JCD protest in city postponed

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the BNP, has postponed its protest programme, scheduled for Wednesday. A reliable source at the BNP central office said this (Wednesday) morning that the protest, scheduled to be held in front of the National Press Club in the city today, was postponed due to an unavoidable reason. A senior BNP leader and JCD’s central leaders have said that the decision to postpone Wednesday’s pre-scheduled protest programme had been taken last night. Last week, the JCD had announced that it would stage a protest in the city demanding release of former JCD general secretary Habibur Rashid Habib, according to a news agency.
