JCD vows to ‘restore democracy’

The newly-formed committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the associate student body of BNP, on Wednesday vowed to make the supreme sacrifice to ‘restore people’s voting rights and democracy’ in the country. “We’re ready to make the supreme sacrifice to restore the annihilated democracy and the basic rights of all people, including franchise, by waging a movement in Dhaka University and all other educational institutions,” said its president Rajib Ahsan. The new JCD chief expressed the resolve while talking to reporters at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office, according to a news agency.
