JDPC training on jute uses begins

NILPHAMARI, Apr 20: Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute has started a 10-day training with a view to developing skills of the people involved in the jute sector.
Director of the JDPC Md Moinul Hoque inaugurated the training in the town Monday.
Finance and Administrative Officer of the JDPC Mofijul Islam Akhand and Course Coordinator Md Mahmood Ali, among others, were present at the inaugural session.
Addressing the function, Mr Akhand said the main objective of the programme was to train prospective youths on how to produce export quality bags by using jute with leather.
The organisers expressed the hope that the programme would not only familiarise the participants with the jute uses but also attract entrepreneurs and other persons to the services available at the JDPC.
Enthusiastic participants from all over the country are taking part in the training.
