Jensen to head GP from Oct 1

The board of directors of Grameenphone (GP) Tuesday appointed Anders Jensen (38), a Swedish national, as the company's new chief executive officer (CEO), who will succeed Erik Aas from October 01, 2007.
Anders Jensen has served as chief marketing officer and head of consumer market in Telenor Sweden since 2005. He has eight years of experience in the internet and telecommunications industry with Europolitan, Vodafone and Telenor, in addition to several years of experience in the fast moving consumer goods sector.
"I am excited to serve a company that plays a key role in the development of the telecommunications sector of Bangladesh," said Jensen.
