Our Correspondent | Friday, 18 July 2014

JESSORE, July 17: Jessore based journalist Saifur Rahman Saif achieved great success in freelancing. One of his stories on outsourcing was published in a prestigious book- Freelance Success Stories, edited by Nick Passig and published by Rio World Class, Denver, Colorado USA. It is published simultaneously in Canada, too.
A total of 12 writers across the world contributed their success stories on freelancing in the book.  Saifur Rahman Saif is one of the twelve. Two other Bangladeshi writers - Jasim Uddin and Manjur Ahmed also contributed their stories in the book published by Rio World Class.
The other writers are Sandra Colton and Charles Franklin of USA, Kim  Cruea of Canada, Mirijed Muruthi of Kenya, Umair Ahmed, Noori Shaikh and Ali Jafri of Pakistan and Sheila Nooren Gam and Joanna Paula Cailas of the Philippines.
Being impressed by Saif's writing editor Nick Passig in the introduction of the book wrote, "Saifur finds his income from teaching and journalism insufficient for his needs. So he joined the other online freelancers and looked for freelance work. He believes in the line of the song - 'we shall overcome someday…' And so he did!"
