Jessore clash: 2 cases filed against 20-party men

Two cases have been filed against 126 leaders and activists of the BNP-led 20-party alliance in connection with last Wednesday’s clash with cops in Jessore district town that left 15 people injured. Sub-inspector Ajgar Hossain filed the cases – one under the Anti-terrorism Act and the other for obstructing cops from discharging their duties. Meanwhile, police sought on Thursday a seven-day remand for seven BNP men, arrested during the clash, according to a news agency.
