JESSORE, May 19: Over 13, 000 investors of two brokerage houses here have become disheartened again as the DSE index showed issues of 153 categories out of 250 declined sharply on Wednesday. Issues of only 87 categories advanced on the day while 10 remained unchanged. The investors in Jessore were hopping that they would be able to recover the losses due to the change in the SEC. But Wednesday's DSE index turned them hopeless again. The two brokerage houses- Royal Capital and Joytun Securities International were earning a good amount of money everyday except the two holidays. Joytun Securities had to face chaos due to lack of rooms for the clients very often as it has about 7000 clients already. The other brokerage house - Royal Capital has a total of 6000 clients. The number of clients, known as beneficiary owners accounts holders were increasing day by in near past. Sattar and Kudrat- e- Gani Khan, branch managers, Royal Capital and Joytun Securities International said that a number of clients were enrolling their names in the share markets expecting to earn a handsome amount of money even a few months back. 'New enrollment is not stopped,' they added. 'We did not get any new clients in last few months', said Munir Sattar. But Kudrat- e- Gani Khan claimed that only a single or two clients were showing their interest for enrolling their names as BO holders. It was 20 to 30 earlier, he further said.
