Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Md. Abdul Hamid Zamaddar has been elected president and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Dr. Abu Naeem Muhammad Abdus Sabur has been elected General Secretary of Jhalakathi Officers Association, says a press release.

The association got going in a meeting on Jan 19 in presence of various cadre officers born in Jhalakathi district. In the meeting Deputy Commissioner (Customs) Al Amin was elected treasurer as a 25-member committee was formed for two years.
Additional Secretary of Ministry of Labour and Employment Md. Jahangir Hossain, Additional Secretary of Financial Institutions Division Amal Krishna Mondal, Registrar (Additional Secretary) of Directorate of Joint Stock Companies and Firms Md. Mizanur Rahman, and Managing Director of Sadharan Bima Corporation Md. Harun Or Rashid were also present, among others, at the meeting.
