Jhenaidah JL leader succumbs at DMCH

JHENIDAH, Dec 26 (UNB): A local Jubo League leader, critically injured in an attack Friday night, died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Shariful Islam (45), vice-president of Kumrabari union unit of Jubo League in Sadar Upazila. He hailed from Madappur village in the upazila.
Witnesses said some people out of a tea stall at Nagarbatan bazar called Sharif Friday night. Later, they hacked him indiscriminately, leaving critically injured.
He was first rushed to the Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital. Later, doctors referred him to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries.
