Jhenidah DC comforts destitute woman suffering from cancer

JHENIDAH, May 13: A destitute woman suffering from breast cancer has long been in a precarious condition in Jhenidah as she has no means for treatment of the disease.
The widow Amiron Nesa (70) hailing from Notun Court Para area of the district town had been earning her own livelihood. However, now her physical condition has deteriorated, and she is leading a subhuman life. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Jhenidah along with humanist activist Aminur Rahman Tuku visited her on Monday and Tuesday and gave her some money and clothes. The DC assured her of providing all-out help and cooperation from the district administration.
He also urged the District Sadar hospital authority to take initiative for improvement of her health.
