JICA Vice President visits LGED

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Vice President Hiroshi Kato visited LGED head office at Agargaon in the city on Sunday, says a press release.
Mr Hiroshi participated in a discussion presided over by LGED Chief Engineer Shyama Prosad Adhikari.  
LGED Superintending Engineer Iftekhar Ahmed apprised Mr Hiroshi about various projects being run with funds provided by JICA and other foreign organisations through a video projection at the meeting.
The JICA Vice President expressed his satisfaction over progress of various development projects. He said that LGED succeeded in implementation of the projects.
LGED Chief Engineer Shyama Prosad Adhikari said that JICA was an aid partner and trusted friend for development of the country. He also said that LGED had taken three types of projects for construction of roads at upazila, union and village levels.  
Later, the JICA Vice President visited different important units of LGED. Among others, LGED Additional Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers and Directors of different projects were present.
