Jilted lover kills lady doctor in city

A 28-year old lover has stabbed and killed a lady doctor at a city clinic Tuesday noon after being jilted by her, police said.
Witnesses said the young man, Mustafizur Rahman Ujjal, a final-year student of Pabna Edward College, entered Rawshan Ara Clinic at South Mugda at about 11:00am and stormed into the chamber of Dr Salma Begum, 27, on the 2nd floor of the five-storey hospital building.
"The killer came out of madam's (the physician) room half an hour later and stumbled on the floor," a staff of the clinic, Suman Chandra, told reporters.
He added that being suspicious of his movement they rushed to the chamber and found Dr Salma on the floor drenched in blood.
They tried to save her life but no doctor was available to provide emergency treatment to the dying doctor, he alleged.
"She was bleeding profusely," Suman said in tears.
