JIPL organises workshop on career planning

JOBS-ICT Private Limited (JIPL), in association with JOBS-Bangladesh, organised a workshop titled soft skills development for students as well as professionals in the city recently.
The workshop provided tools for identifying and planning a career path and practical skills to gain the competitive edge in the workplace, said a press release.
Participants also learned ways to enhance their resumes and communicate effectively and courteously with potential employers and colleagues.
A team of international expatriates including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder of JIPL Elli Takagaki, Director of JIPL and Deputy Country Represen-tative of JOBS Bangladesh Erika Hoffman-Kiess, Project Management Expert Terrina Wong and Programme Consultant Scott Merrill moderated the sessions.
A total of 120 participants including students from different universities as well as working professionals took part in the workshop.
Bank Alfalah sponsored the event, partnering with JIPL to influence and improve the quality of the available workforce.
Country Director of Bank Alfalah, Bangladesh Majedur Rahman presided. In his speech provided a motivational address for the participants, the release added.
