Thursday, 9 April 2015

Miscreants have shot dead a man after taking him away from a tea stall in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila, reports bdnews24.com.
The victim, Md Hanif aka Moma (30), was an activist of Jubo League (JL), the ruling party's youth affiliate.
Police claim he was a part of the terrorist group, 'Jihad Bahini.'
Md Jamal Hossain, in charge of the police investigation, said a group of troublemakers had abducted from Ganeshyampur village and killed Hanif around 9:30 pm.
Police said the murder was a sequel to a dispute over supremacy of the area.
Sadar Jubo League joint convener Mijan Patwari told reporters that Moma used to attend meetings and processions of the organisation.
However, he has no knowledge of any other activities that Moma was involved in.
Quoting locals, police official Jamal said Moma was sitting at a tea stall that night when a group of armed men took Moma away.
Later Moma's body was found in a nearby field with bullet wounds on his legs.
Moma died of haemorrhage on the spot.
