JL man killed in Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT, June 28 (UNB): An activist of Jubo League (JL) local unit was killed at Mahendranagar in Sadar upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Fakhrul Islam Bullet (32), son of Enamul Haque of Chinipara village in the upazila.
Police said a series of clashes took place between the supporters of Aminur Rahman, a leader of JL local unit and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader Appel over establishing supremacy on Saturday.
As a sequel to the enmity, the rival group men picked up Bullet and took him to local Mahendranagar market. They severed the tendons of both of his hands and legs around 11:30 pm.
Later, local people rushed him to Sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead.
On information, police rushed in and arrested Appel (28) in this
connection.
