JL president comes under attack, doc shot

Criminals hurled cocktails at Jubo League president Omar Faruk Chowdhury and vandalized his car at Dhanmondi in the city on Sunday night.
The incident happened on the Road No. 8 at about 8:00 pm.
Police said the incident took place when he was returning to his residence on the road. However, three people were arrested from the spot.
In another incident on Sunday evening criminals entered the residence of a doctor of the city's BIRDEM Hospital and shot him in his leg.
The doctor was identified as senior medical officer Abu Naser Muhit (37) residing at Madhubag Mosjid Lane in the city's Ramna area.
