JMB man gets 15 years’ jail in anti-terrorism case

TANGAIL, Jan 11 (BSS): A court has sentenced an activist of Jammatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to 15 years in jail in an anti-terrorism case.
District and Sessions Judge Rabiul Hassan gave the sentence to Belal Khan Ronzu (30), a resident of Khanpara village in Gopalpur upazila.
According to the prosecution, police arrested Belal Khan Ronzu in 2016 with explosives and books on jihad (religious uprising) from Gopalpur of the district. Later police filed a case against him under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Testifying witnesses and evidence, the court handed down the verdict. The court also fined the convict Tk3,000.
