JMB man held in Kolkata

Police on Saturday evening arrested the main accused in Burdwan blast and also the mastermind of the plan of killing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from Kolkata in India, Kolkata police sources said. The arrestee is Sheikh Rahmat Ullah alias Sajid of Narayanganj district of Bangladesh and operatives of the banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). Sajid was arrested from outside of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport of Kolkata in the evening in connection with October 2 blast in which two suspected JMB members were killed. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh immediately after the Burdwan blast for information leading to his arrest. Kolkata police and NIA personnel are now interrogating Sajid, according to BSS.
