JMCH vandalised over patient\\\'s death

The relatives of a patient vandalised Jessore Medical College Hospital (JMCH) after he died for alleged negligence in treatment. The deceased was identified as Jamshed Ali. Family sources said Jamshed had been admitted to the hospital with severe pain in the stomach on April 25. He was shifted to the male ward of the hospital under Dr Madhusudhan Pal. Jamshed’s condition deteriorated fast and he died on Sunday night after he was given an injection prescribed by Dr Yunus Ali of the hospital. Outraged by Jamshed’s death, his relatives vandalised the male ward and nurses’ stat injuring two nurses. JMCH director-in-charge Dr Yakub Ali formed a three-member investigation committee to probe the incident, according to UNB.
