In a bid to deepen interaction between the faculty graduates and corporate business organisations a three-day career development and job fair titled 'Corporate Bridge' began Saturday on the Business Studies Faculty premises of the Dhaka University (DU) in the city.
The ninth batch of DU's Marketing Department, in association with the Commercial Bank of Ceylon, has organised the fair. Maersk Logistics is the title sponsor of the event.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while FBCCI President Mir Nasir Hossain was the guest of honour. Chairman of Marketing Department Haripad Bhattacharjee presided over the function.
Organisers said the prime objective of the fair is to make the faculty students, who are going to complete their graduation within August this year, prepared for professional career and to strengthen their relationship with the corporate houses.
Some 12 business companies, including Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Maersk Line and Logistics, Unilever, ACI, CityCell, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Holcim (BD) Ltd, have set up stalls in the fair.
