Joint forces earn massive support from common men: Gen Moeen

CHANDPUR, July 19 (UNB): Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed Thursday said the joint forces in operation have already earned massive support and kudos from the common men for resisting corruption in the country.
"With corruption, a nation cannot go ahead and prosper. That's why there is no compromise on corruption," said General Moeen, whose force props up the present caretaker government in a socio-political purge against the backdrop of a grave political crisis of the issues of election.
The Army chief made the remarks while addressing the army personnel in a meeting held at the district stadium in the morning.
Earlier at 8:30, General Moeen U Ahmed was formally received at the local stadium by GOC of Comilla Major General Abdul Hafiz, Commanding Officer of Chandpur district Lt Col Mostafizur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Monirul Islam and police super Obaidur Rahman Khan.
