Joint forces nab six AL, BNP men for 'fuelling unrest'

CHUADANGA, Aug 23 (bdnews24.com): Joint forces arrested six leaders of Awami League (AL) and BNP at Chuadanga town Thursday on charges of fuelling student unrest here.
Police said that they had encouraged the students at Chuadanga Government Coll-ege in their protest Wednes-day.
The six were arrested at night from their residences, said their family members.
Chuadanga Superintendent of Police (SP) Mofizuddin Ahmed said: "They have been arrested for provocative activities including fuelling the students' protest at the government college."
The arrested leaders are: District AL President Solaiman Haque Joarder; Joint Secretary Asadul Haque Biswas; district BNP Acting General Secretary Sarder Ali Hossain; Sadar Upazila BNP President and former public prosecutor Abdul Wahab Mallick; Jubo Dal leader Nazmul Haq Swapan; and district Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Organising Secretary Feroz Sarwar Roman.
