Nokia has recently announced the names of first three winners of the "Buy Nokia and fly to Bangkok" promotion that began on June 10, 2008.
The promotion offers buyers of any Nokia device from ten Nokia branded outlets a chance to win two tickets to Bangkok, said a press release.
ASM Jonayat, Mrs Katrun Nada and Mr Md Monirul Islam were the lucky winners.
Retail Development Manager of Nokia Emerging Asia Sajid Rizwan Matin handed over the prizes to the winners at the Nokia Store at Happy Arcade at Dhanmondi in the city recently.
Congratulating the winners, Sajid said, "This promotion ties in with the summer holiday season. We hope this will bring loads of joy to the winners as they go on a great vacation in one of the most attractive tourist destinations of the world, Bangkok. Moreover, with newly purchased Nokia devices buyers can not only stay in touch but also bring home pictures and videos to share with their friends and family."
"I can't believe I'm actually going to Bangkok. My friends are all jealous and they are vying for the extra ticket!" expressed one of the winners.
Jonayat, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was delighted as this would be his first trip to Bangkok.
Mrs Nada, a government official, and Mr Islam, a businessman, also expressed similar views.
The promotion will continue until end of July and four more lucky winners will be selected from among those who purchase any Nokia device from the following ten outlets - Nokia stores at Motijheel, Bashundhara City, Dhanmondi Happy Arcade, Uttara, Shopper's World, and the premium partner outlets at Dhanmondi, Chittagong, Rangpur, Hatirpool and Dhaka Stadium.
