Journalist Al-Amin no more

Md Al-Amin, News Editor of the report24.com, an online news portal of Bangladesh, died of cardiac arrest at a Dhaka hospital on Monday. He was 46. His family members and colleagues said Al-Amin passed away at the ICU of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital (BIRDEM) at Shahbagh in the city around 5:00am. He was on a lifesupport at the ICU of the specialised hospital since Thursday. Hospital and family sources said he fell ill on Wednesday after he felt chest pain on his way to the report24.com, office. He felt severe chest pain again on Thursday and was admitted to the Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital that day. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the ICU of the hospital. He was receiving treatment there under the supervision of eminent cardiologist Col (Retd) Rezaul Karim. Al-Amin was on a life support till he breathed his last in the morning. He left behind his wife, a daughter and a son, and a host of relatives, friends and colleagues to mourn his death.
