Journalist killed in port city

A journalist was strangulated to death by assailants at an unknown place and the body was left in Port Colony area near Halishahar in the city on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Abdullah Al Mahbub, alias Mahbub Tutul (48), a journalist-cum-columnist and a resident of Artillery Centre area in Halishahar of the port city. He hailed from Ujirpur Upazila of Jhalakathi district. Police could not ascertain the cause behind the killing. - UNB
