Journalist robbed of Tk 55,000

A group of armed robbers looted away Tk 55,000 from a sub-editor of The Financial Express, Pijush Kanti Mallick, from the city's Paltan crossing Thursday evening.
Pijush said he was going to make advance payment to the Azad Products at 7 pm for printing some invitation cards.
When he came out from Azad Products showroom, a gang of seven or eight with arms scuffled with him for a while and spread some toxic chemical on his face to make him senseless, and snatched the money from his possession at gunpoint, Pijush said.
The concerned police station was informed of the incident.
