Journalist Shahid dead

Sheikh Shahidul Islam, a journalist of the Bangladesh Observer, died of cardiac arrest at the city's National Heart Foundation Friday. He was 65.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was held after Zohr prayer in the Journalists’ Residential Area at Mirpur-11 in the city. Many senior journalists of different newspapers were present at the Janaza.
He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter to mourn his death.
His body has been kept at the Apollo Hospitals mortuary. He will be buried after the return of his sons from abroad, said a press release.
