Journalist Shamsul Haque expires

MYMENSINGH, Jan 4 (BSS): Veteran journalist and social worker Shamsul Haque died at Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex Thursday. He was 80. He was a bachelor. His namaz-e-janaza was held at Gafargoan Govt College ground after Zohr prayers. Later, he was laid to rest on the premises of Shaheed Belal Pathagar, a library founded by himself. Shamsul Haque joined journalism profession in 1956. He was appointed Gafargaon correspondent of The Daily Ittefaq in 1958. He founded Shaheed Belal Pathagar (library).
