Journalists form forum on Dr Yunus

'We Love Professor Yunus', a newly formed forum of working journalists in Dhaka, Tuesday urged the government to find a respectable solution relating to Grameen Bank Managing Director Dr Mohammad Yunus for the sake of the country's greater interest, said a press release. The forum expressed its concern that delay in taking decision on Professor Yunus in respect of his respectable departure from Grameen Bank would hurt the country's relations with the people and government of USA. Apart from this, investment, export and knowledge transfer would also suffer if the government takes time to take decision. "We urge the government to take all necessary initiatives for solution of this issue," the press release added. He is our pride, national asset and hero, further said. The forum members urged the government to take initiatives against central bank officials who distorted BRPD circular relating to age bar of managing directors.
