Journey by train
Sunday, 10 May 2015
On May 01, 2015, I was travelling to Dhaka from Rajshahi by a train called Padma Express. My wife and three children were with me. I booked an AC compartment having four sleeping berths so that we could have a comfortable journey.
Cooling was fine. The most endearing part of the journey was that old-time music was being played in the compartment. This took me back to my young age. While we all were enjoying every bit of this fabulous journey, suddenly my younger son told me he needed to go to the toilet. I took him to the toilet and was waiting outside the door. My son stepped in and came out immediately saying that the toilet was too dirty to use. I peeped into it and found it was true.
The journey was otherwise enjoyable. Toilet was the only black spot. I earnestly request the railway authority to pay attention to this aspect.
The most important part of the journey was that the train started from Sardah station, Rajshahi on time and reached the airport station, Dhaka also on right time. This was indeed a happy occasion.
Let us travel by trains more and help the Bangladesh Railway to flourish.
