Journo's father dies

Shafiul Haq, a language movement veteran, and a former EPCS officer died of brain cancer Wednesday night at city's Central Hospital (Inna …rajeun). He was 83. A retired headmaster, he authored several books, including Ideology of Islam, 'Janata Jago,' and 'Bhrantir Oboshan.'
He left behind wife, seven daughters and two sons, including Nazmul Ahsan, a special correspondent of the Financial Express, and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
His namaj-e-janaza will be held at Chowddogram in Comilla after Johr prayers and he will be buried in the family graveyard at Shilori village today (Thursday).
