Joypurhat chilli growers happy over good price

JOYPURHAT, Sept 16 (BSS): Green chilli growers are happy for getting over good price with their bumper production in the district.
Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) sources said the green chilli cultivated on 173 hectares of land in the district this year with the production target of 319 tonnes.
Of the land, 50 hectares are in Sadar upazila, 50 hectares in Panchbibi upazila, 30 hectares in Akkelpur upazila, 23 hectares in Khetlal upazila and 20 hectares in Kalai upazila.
Deputy Director of DAE AZM Sabbir Ibne Jahan said the farmers were provided with adequate seeds and training to achieve the production target.
