JP leader, family members killed in Rajshahi crash

Former vice-president of Jatiya Party's (JP) central committee Abdul Hannan and his family members were killed in a road accident in Rajshahi Sunday morning. Sixty year-old Hannan, his elder daughter Ruma (42), nine-year-old grandson Noman and driver Ayub were killed on the spot. The accident occurred at Kanthalbaria on the Rajshahi-Natore Highway at around 7:30am. They were traveling from Chapainawabganj to Dhaka. Hannan's younger daughter Suma and her son Nafiz, injured in the accident, were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. The bodies of the deceased were sent to the same hospital for autopsy.
