JP names candidates for DCCs polls

Jatiya Party(JP) chairman HM Ershad on Sunday announced the names of the party's mayoral candidates for the upcoming elections in the two Dhaka City Corporations (DCCs), reports UNB.
Bahauddin Ahmed Babul was declared Jatiya Party mayoral candidate for DCC North while Saifuddin Ahmed Milon for DCC South.
Ershad made the announcement while addressing a joint meeting of Jatiya Party south and north units of the Dhaka city at his Banani office.
He expressed the hope that Jatiya Party will be able to restore democracy in the country through its victory in the DCCs elections.
Jatiya Party secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and presidium member Sayed Abul Hossain Babla, MP, among others, were present at the meeting.
