JS body for closure of Biman’s routes not profitable

Wednesday, 24 September 2014

Biman Bangladesh Airlines should close its unprofitable routes and, instead, focus on routes where it makes profit, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Civil Aviation Ministry said on Tuesday. The committee asked the national flag carrier to improve its services, strengthen its monitoring and ticketing systems to turn it into a profitable organisation. The call came at the 5th meeting of the committee at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) with its chairman Muhammad Faruk Khan in the chair.    — UNB
