JS body for mfg better quality drugs

A parliamentary watchdog on Wednesday recommended manufacturing drugs maintaining better quality for increasing remittance flow by exporting medicines. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Heath and Family Welfare Ministry came up with the recommendation at its first meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. Presided over by committee chairman Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, the meeting was attended by committee members Health Minister Mohammad Nasim, Zahid Malek, AFM Ruhal Haque, M Abdul Odud, M Yunus Ali Sarker, Nizam Uddin Hazari and Selina Begum. The meeting also suggested that the authorities concerned take steps in putting an end to manufacturing adulterated drugs, according to a news agency.
