JS body for providing adequate fund to CHT Dev Board

A parliamentary watchdog has recommended that the government allocate adequate fund to the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board to bring dynamism in its activities. It also suggested that the CHT Land Commission attach importance to the opinions of the representatives of the CHT Regional Councils in the three hill districts. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry came up with the suggestions at its 7th meeting held on Thursday evening at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman RAM Obaidur Moktadir Chowdhury in the chair. Committee members State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, Mohammad Subid Ali Bhuiyan, Kujendra Lal Tripura, MA Awal and Firoza Begum Chinu attended the meeting, according to a news agency.
