JS body for realistic steps for power sector dev

The parliamentary standing committee on power and energy at a meeting Monday suggested the government to take more pragmatic measures for the power sector development.
The committee also suggested taking a move to boost electricity generation through solar power and punitive action against illegal connection holders, reducing system loss and producing power at a cheaper cost, according to a news agency.
State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid, committee members Ataur Rahman Atiq, Abu Zahir, Abdul Latif, Shibly Sadik, Liaqat Hossain and Begum Nasima Ferdowsy attended the meeting.
