JS body for recruiting more police personnel

The parliamentary standing committee on home ministry suggested Tuesday increasing the manpower of the police department and procuring necessary equipment and vehicles for better law enforcement and maintaining the law and order, reports UNB.
It also asked the law enforcement agencies to be dynamic in protecting public life and property through preventing anarchy and acts of sabotage in various parts of the country.
The parliamentary watchdog came up with the suggestion at its sixth meeting, held at Jatiya Sangsad with its chairman Tipu Munshi, MP, in the chair.
The committee also recommended the law enforcement agencies to take legal actions against the illegal use of 'MP sticker' on cars, and bring an end to traffic rule violation and use of hydraulic horns in VIP vehicles on the city roads.
Committee members State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan, Shamsul Haque Tuku, Omor Faruk Chowdhury, Abu Sayeed Al Mahmood Swapon, Fakhrul Imam and Kamrun Nahar Chowdhury attended the meeting, said a handout.
