JS body for shifting land registration job

Monday, 29 September 2014

The parliamentary standing committee on the Land Ministry has suggested bringing the land registration job under the ministry, with a view to completing the land survey and maintaining records in a timely fashion. Land registration currently falls under the aegis of the Law Ministry. The Jatiya Sangsad (JS) committee came up with the suggestion in its 4th meeting, held Sunday at the JS with its chairman Rezaul Karim Hira in the chair. It also emphasised accelerating and modernising the overall land management activities and discussed the land survey.     — UNB
