JS body on civil aviation meets

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and Tourism Tuesday discussed possible measures to improve the performance of different agencies under it, reports BSS.
The committee with Engr Mosharraf Hossain in the chair reviewed different development projects, bilateral agreements, organizational structures and manpower in those agencies and their income and expenditures.
The meeting discussed possible ways of building Biman Bangladesh Airlines keeping abreast with the latest aviation technology, improving the quality of passenger services and strengthening overall security measures.
They also discussed steps to fill various vacant posts at different levels.
Standing committee member and minister for civil aviation and tourism GM Qader, whip Mujibul Haque, M Mahbubur Rahman, Moyenuddin Khan Badal, Syed Mohsin Ali, Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, M Faridul Haque Khan and Mesbahuddin Farhad took part in the meeting.
Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Managing Director of Biman Banglasdesh Airlines and other senior officials of different agencies were present.
