JS body seeks more security at MP Bhabans

The Parliament Committee on the Jatiya Sangsad recommended on Wednesday deploying additional security personnel at the MP Bhabans at Manik Miah Avenue and Nakhalpara to ensure security, reports BSS quoting a press release.
The committee urged authority concerned for taking necessary measures for sufficient security at MP Bhabans at Manik Miah Avenue and at Nakhalpara within the next week, it said.
The recommendation was taken at the 5th meeting of the House Committee on Jatiya Sangsad at the Parliament Secretariat with its chairman Chief Whip AFM Feroz in the chair, the release said.
The committee also urged Public Works Department (PWD) to take immediate steps to change and repair lifts at the building 1 to 6 at the Bhabans.
The meeting was also attended by Whip Mahbub Ara Begum Gini, Segupta Yasmin, Fazle Hossain Badsha, Khalid Mahmood Chowdhury, M Aslamul Haque and Talukder Yusun.
The committee discussed various issues, especially the last meeting's decision and urged Parjatan Corporation to improve foods of the Very Important Person's canteen.
