JS body to probe use of fake nat\\\'l ID cards

The parliamentary standing committee on the public administration ministry formed a two-member sub-committee Sunday to probe the alleged use of fake national identity cards in registration for mobile SIM cards.
The move came following the seizure of 53,000 fake national identity cards in the city on Friday.
The committee of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) also recommended enhancement of allocation for time befitting training of the civil servants.
The JS body made the recommendation at the first meeting of the 10th parliament. Committee chairman HN Ashiqur Rahman chaired the meeting.
Other committee members ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Sukumar Ranjan Ghosh, Md Abdullah, Mostafa Lutfullah and Amina Ahmed were present in the meeting. State minister for public administration Ismat Ara Sadek was present on special invitation.
RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury was made convener and Abdur Rahman member of the sub-committee. That will probe the use of fake national ID cards.
The meeting discussed different problems of the public administration ministry and expected solutions of those problems.
