JS panel members visit school lands under illegal occupation

The members a Jatiya Sangsad (JS) panel have visited 4 state-run primary schools that are now allegedly under illegal occupation at Dhaka’s Mohammadpur and Dhanmondi area. During the visit, the members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Primary and Mass Education Ministry asked Dhanmondi Law College to shift immediately to its own campus from Dhanmondi Government Primary School. It also suggested eviction of illegal structures from the campus of Agargaon Taltola Government Primary School and removal of illegal grabbers and dustbin from the campus of Shaheen Government Primary School. The other members of the committee were Nazrul Islam Babu, Ali Azam and Ummey Razia Kajol. High officials from the Directorate of Primary Education were also present, according to a news agency.
